I went to school in my hometown of Bandarabbas, Iran, where I did Science, Maths, Geography, History, English, Persian Literature, and Arabic. I found that I was most interested in Biology, and took part in the National Biology Olympiad competition in Biology where I succeeded in winning the silver medal. I then went on to study Biology at the University of Tehran, where I focused on Zoology, Animal Physiology and Development, and Evolutionary Biology. Towards the end of my degree I found my interest in the theoretical and philosophical aspects of Biology and Science more generally, and applied for a Master's degree in Philosophy of Science at the University of Bristol. Having been offered a position, I moved to Bristol and finished the Master's degree with Distinction (i.e. First). While at Bristol, I decided to do a PhD project on the early evolution of animals. I started my PhD at the School of Biological Sciences Palaeobiology Research (one of the top Palaeobiology research groups in the world) Group, University of Bristol. I obtained this degree in December 2021. I then moved on to do another PhD in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge, and have been busy with it ever since! I plan to continue academic research in Biology as well as Philosophy, focusing especially on the intersection between them!
